Winter Pride Fest (WPF) was first conceived as an event to bring new friends from around the world to San Juan to celebrate the beauty and diversity of the LGBTQ community in Puerto Rico.
The successful launch was a one-night event that took place in January of 2019 and was hosted by Puerto Rican native April Carriòn, a competitor on RuPaul’s Drag Race in Season 6.
The gay event at San Juan, PR was SOLD OUT and the demand was overwhelming. The “bottomless” drinks and brunch food were great and the sponsor Senor Frog’s San Juan went out their way to make sure everyone got enough to eat and drink. Jin us in 2020 for another record-setting US/Carribeam Gay PRIDE Month in December.
April Carriòn will host WPF 3 again in 2020, and we are in contact with all of our amazing sponsors, bars and venues and tour providers.
Winter Pride Fest 3 on 12-10-2020 is the event we all need to celebrate PRIDE in December, and hopefully we can safely perform the event. Last year’s gay pride month in December event was a breakout success and we are still excited about the future.

Internationally the month of June was chosen for LGBT Gay Pride Month to commemorate the Stonewall riots in 1969. Many pride events are held during the month of June to recognize the impact LGBTQ+ people have had in the world.
